Days had turned into weeks. Weeks had turned into months. And then, one not-so-very special day, I went to my typewriter, I sat down, and I wrote our story. A story about a time, a story about a place, a story about the people. But above all things, a story about love.

There isn't much that can be done about it now. I'll have to go down there and see what the guards can tell me. Maybe they were able to get another lawyer...

I hadn't officially taken on the case, so not technically, but I don't really have an excuse for disappearing like that. I mean, I can't exactly say I was busy singing love songs in an elephant...

Well, I'm going to start by going down to the detention center, like I said. They can at least tell me if a trial date was set. Though, knowing the way the court system works, it's probably over by now...
