[WELCOME TO COURTROOM #3, THE SAFE HAVEN FOR THE ACE ATTORNEY CAST]

[Please grab the nearest weapon or blunt object and begin beating the life out of those undead brain-eaters.]

((OOC: I figured we could use a spam post for what's going on in the courtroom during the Zombie Invasion™. Taking place immediately after this post, I'm assuming Klavier, Ema, and Trucy are already inside, and Phoenix is just arriving with Pearl after running away from Bus!Zombies. :|b))

[She is holding the judge's gavel ~~yes that is her weapon~~ as she peers out the window at the surrounding zombies and waits for Nick and Pearl's arrival]

[arrives, bursting through the doors and out of breath! He sets Pearls down, having run through the defense lobby with her in his arms, and immediately turns around to slam the doors shut]

[unfortunately, they seem to lock from the outside]

We have to find some way to keep these closed!

[Jumps and whips around to face whoever just burst through the front door, gavel lifted above her head. She relaxes when she sees Phoenix and Pearl]

Are there zombies in the lobby?!

I didn't see any. [he looks over his shoulder at her, keeping his hands on the doors as if he could hold them against an onslaught of zombies by sheer will] The doors to the courthouse are still unlocked, though. Anyone could get in.

[blink, frown] ...What are you doing with that gavel?

[glances from the gavel, and back to Phoenix}

It's my weapon.

...Oh. [it's better than trying to hide them in magic underwear, he supposes]

[he glances around the room, looking for something they can shove against the doors, but he's pretty sure everything is bolted down]

[Hikaru, who was still by the window looking at the zombies, turned her attention to the new arrivals.]

Oh! Hello!

[He has no weapons just a great singing voice, a dog that socially maladroit and devastatingly good looks—and no, he's not into being zombie-bait.]

Ach—

[Klavier was just as taken aback as Trucy when Phoenix came bursting through the doors, but relaxed when he realized it wasn’t an immediate threat…only that this day was getting stranger by the second.]

Here, we can jam the door…with these…

[Takes off his shoes. A temporary fix, but he couldn’t think of a better idea at the moment.]

[his attention is drawn to Hikaru, and he blinks. another person that woke up in the courtroom...?] Er... hi.

[he turns to Klavier and frowns] I'm not sure how well those will hold anyone off...

[Realizes she hasn't met any of these people other than Trucy...]

Oh! My name is Hikaru Shidou. I'm a friend of Trucy so I came to help!

Came to help? [he turns around, letting go of the doors for now] Does that mean you can world-hop?

((OOC: btw, chaos posting is fine with me, for anyone who's worried about when they should go. |D;;))

[oops. Trucy had almost forgotten to introduce Hikaru. Oh well, problem had already solved itself!]

Yes! She worldhopped here to help us.

Yep! That's right. [She nods in agreement.]

[looks thoughtful for a moment. they seem to be safe for now, and he doesn't want to go anywhere just yet, knowing that Edgeworth is on his way...]

Sure thing! And if any of the zombies get in I can use my magic on them!

Magic...? [he hopes it's not magic of the panties variety]

...Ah. Well in that case, I'm really thankful. It doesn't look like we have much in the way of weaponry. [glances at the gavel in Trucy's hand] Hopefully it won't come to that, though.

I hope not, but I'm ready no matter what!

Good. [at least this means they're not completely helpless]

[he looks around] So everybody's okay right now?

[Trucy watches the conversation and nods] Yep! [she glances over at Klavier, then back to Phoenix]

Um... Mr. Edgeworth said he was on his way too.

[frowns and rubs the side of his neck, thinking back on his conversation with Edgeworth]

So I heard. I really wish he'd stay put...

[and she looks genuinely worried]

I really hope he doesn't get hurt on the way over.

[and he's trying to show that he's not]

Don't worry. I'm sure he'll be fine.

[nods in determination]

Of course! He said there wasn't much of a chance of him getting hurt, so he must be protecting himself!

[In the background... what was that? A gunshot!?]

Take a bullet to head, you foolishly ghoulish fool.

[And now the sounds of footsteps fast approaching, since she thought she saw a blue-suited ~~fool~~ person with a small girl running into the courtroom. SO BRB, ZOMBIES; FOLLOWING THAT. If you spot her coming, yell for her.]

[Pearly's keen eyes have spotted you, Franzy!]

Ms. von Karma! You're okay!

[She thought she saw you! Running to the courtroom at full speed, close your eyes Pearl because she just shot a zombie in the leg.]

Yes, I'm fine! I'm getting over there as fast as I can, Ms. Fey!

[She keeps running to the courtroom and she makes it. Oh no, is there a zombie behind her?!]

[apoidjf Franziska! Trucy gasps and lifts her hand to her mouth, before she dashes to the door and tries to close it on the zombie]

Hurry, one is trying to get in!

[Phoenix is startled by the sound of gunfire outside the courtroom, but he's even more startled to find that the source of it is Franziska von Karma wielding some kind of hunting rifle. It's not exactly a sight one expects to see...]

[...then again, neither is an invasion of brain-eating zombies. speaking of which--]

Franziska! [acting as quickly as he can, he tries to pull her inside while Trucy gets the door closed] What are you doing here!?

Defending you all, you fool!

[She is pulled inside somewhat in a surprised way, almost missing a step or two. Once inside, Franziska takes a look at everyone. Wow, they came largely unprepared.]

How were all of you planning to fight those things?

[Franziska recharges her shotgun to establish a point and to show off that she had the most effective weapon out of all of them.]

[watches her somewhat warily]

I don't think any of us knew what was going on before we got here.

[closes the door on the zombies FOR GREAT JUSTICE. But they're outside and banging to come in and Trucy can't hold it on her own]

H-help!

[don't worry, Trucy. FRANZISKA IS GOING TO ~~WHIP~~ SHOOT THOSE FOOLS.]

Move out of the way, Trucy!

[she takes a few shots to the zombie's chest, earning one headshot but it's not like she's counting. the group of hoarding zombies practically fly away from the courtroom's door.]

Quick, shut the door!

[Stares in awe at Franziska's awesomeness *A* And she runs to shut the door again as soon as she's told too]

Woooow, Miss von Karma! You're amazing!

[not gonna lie, he's kind of horrified]

[Directed to Trucy:]

I know.

[Directed to Phoenix:]

This is the only time I'll ever bring a weapon of this caliber into a courtroom.

[she's staring, her eyes wide, in both shock and unabashed admiration]

W-wow, Ms. von Karma! That was so amazing!

[you know you're jealous that she's manlier than you, Phoenix.]

It seemed that there was an outbreak occurring throughout the community. You could have at least been prepared in the case that they would rampage our city, which they inevitably did!

[...sob, maybe a little. and he feels guilty now, tyvm]

But I didn't know! I hadn't checked the community until this morning...

[doesn't wait for Wright's greeting, speaking immediately as the phone is answered.] I'm outside. Where are you?

Edgeworth? [there's relief in his voice, but it's quickly replaced by a note of alarm] We're in courtroom three, but those things are in the lobby now!

[a pregnant pause]

[voice still even, but with a note of urgency] You're still safe? Is Franziska with you?
