It's almost poetic.

In related news, I'm finally done catching up with all of my e-mails and voice mails. I never thought it'd take so long to get through two months of backlog, but I guess you don't realize how much stuff you get until it all piles up. At least I don't have to worry about it anymore...

Bayesian filtering screens for junk email based on a profile the program builds of what words appear in legitimate traffic to an address. Bayesian poisoning attempts to defeat that filtering by loading messages with enough "good" words to override the "bad" ones in the filter's classification of the content.

But that one's just scattershot. Even if your world doesn't have natural language processing, a decently-trained filter would catch that.

Well-intentioned people already know who not to world-hop. It wouldn't help anything.

What about people who don't know? You don't think it'd be useful for them? I mean, there's no way to put an end to inter-dimensional crimes, but the less resources available to criminals means a less likely chance they'll be able to commit those crimes.

Laws are hard enough to enforce when you have a mechanism for doing it. If you're just relying on good will, it's doomed from the start.
